A Focus on Photography

The choice of Photography exhibitions to be seen this month at various London Museums is simply amazing. We have listed a few of them.  

  • Klein & Moriyama at Tate Modern. One of the best photographs' exhibitions to be seen exploring urban life in New York and Tokyo through the works of William Klein and Daido Moriyama. Until 20 January 2013.
  • Light from the Middle East: New Photography  at V&A. The first major exhibition of contemporary photography from and about the Middle East. Until 7 April, 2013.
  • The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2012 at the National Portrait Gallery. Sixty new portraits by some of the most exciting contemporary photographers from around the world. Until 17 February 2013.
  • Cartier-Bresson: A Question of Colour at Somerset House. Ten Cartier-Bresson photographs shown alongside over 75 works by 14 international acclaimed photographers. Until 27 January 2013.
  • Seduced by Art: Photography Past and Present at the National Gallery. Paintings and early and contemporary photographs are presented together according to traditional genres such as portraiture, still life, nudes and landscape. Until 20 January 2013.
  • Shoot! Existential Photography at The Photographers' Gallery. It explores the fairgrounds's attraction so popular after WW I: the photographic shooting gallery. Until 6 January 2013.
  • Everything Was Moving: Photography from the 60s and 70s at the Barbican. This exhibition surveys Photography from an international perspective, and includes renowned photographers from across the globe, all working during the 60s and 70s. Until 13 January 2013.
  • Ansel Adams: Photography from the Mountains to the Sea at the National Maritime Museum. This exhibition brings together Ansel Adams' most powerful and striking pictures of water in all its forms. Until 28 April 2013.
