London: Our favourites in art, food and shopping this week

1. Good People

Due to its  overwhelming success at the Hampstead Theatre, this play has moved to the Noel Coward theatre for a 10-week run. It is admirably written by Pulitzer prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire  and superbly performed by the whole cast including the fabulous Imelda Staunton. It is funny, tender and poignant. If you are lucky to find a ticket, run to see it!

2. Strange Beauty : Masters of the German Renaissance

Hurry because this show at the National Gallery ends on the 11th of May. Even though many of these German Renaissance masterpieces by Holbein, Cranach and Dürer  can be seen during the year in the National Gallery Collection, it is a great opportunity to see them together in the context of their acquisition history. We strongly recommend the audio guide.

3. Tibits

A Swiss vegetarian restaurant recommended by a Swiss vegetarian friend, tucked away on Heddon Street in the middle of Mayfair; we love the stylish deco and the mouth watering buffet bar. Very casual and homey.

4. Jane Packer

This flower shop in Marylebone  is so attractive that you can't resist buying more flowers. We went this week to the New Cavendish street to buy a bouquet of Succulent flowers for our hallway.

5. Giacobazzi's

This Hampstead Italian deli near the Royal Free hospital offers the most delicious homemade raviolis and antipasti salads (see featured picture). We can’t get enough of it!

6. The terrace of the Lounge restaurant at Barbican

Stunning view from the 1st floor, our new place for afternoon tea. The Barbican is full of freelance people working during the day so why not take a break...

7. Paradise on the Way of Kensal Green

This gastro pub will be hosting our next Jazz event! We love the antiques and vintage furniture all around the venue. We recommend the Negronis cocktail ( for which one pound goes to the amazing Kids Company Charity).

8. Jas M.B.

We went recently to the anniversary party of this shop selling luxury leather bags in the heart of Shoreditch. All the bags are designed  by Jas Sehmbi and produced in the UK.  We love the clutch and mini silver backpack  … Jas' bags are sold in many great boutiques including Barneys in New York.
